7-hydroxymitragynine

7-Hydroxymitragynine (7OH) is a naturally occurring alkaloid found in the leaves of Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom. It is one of the many active compounds identified in kratom and has been the subject of various scientific studies.

Research indicates that 7-Hydroxymitragynine is structurally similar to mitragynine, another prominent alkaloid in kratom. Studies have shown that it interacts with opioid receptors in a unique way which does not present the side effects associated with traditional opioids.

Aside from its natural occurrence in the Kratom leaf, 7-Hydroxymitragynine is the active metabolite formed upon ingestion of the primary kratom alkaloid Mitragynine.
